Tina Fey flashes a smile outside the Ed Sullivan Theater ahead of her appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman on Thursday (May 7) in New York City.
The 44-year-old actress talked to Dave about retiring then vowed never to wear a dress again in honor of him so she took off her dress to to give him a proper send-off.

“I dress up like this out of respect for you,” Tina said. “What, am I going to put on a dress for Jimmy [Fallon]? That’s creepy. He’s like my brother. What, I’m going to wear special underwear for James Corden?”
“This is my last time wearing a fancy dress on a talk show and conforming to gender norms out of respect for you,” Tina continued. “My gift to you is I want to give you the dress.”
